Adult Learning, or What We Misunderstand about Self-development
In my opinion, the worst problem in adult learning is the identification of this process with content absorption. As a result, instead of engaging in self-development, we try to do as much as possible: read books; study articles; take courses.
What it really boils down to is as much as possible: buy books (most of which we won't even open); open tabs of articles (which will get jumbled under the mouse cursor); download videos of courses (which will require buying a new hard drive).
Eventually, the question that shines through the guilt is, "Where do I find the time for all of this?". That's what we're going to talk about.
